Interviews on 9/9/10

Don't forget...
On Thursday, you must come to class dressed to impress!  That is INTERVIEW ATTIRE.  What is that anyways?  Well, for females, nice dress slacks (black, navy, or brown) and a tailored dress blouse in white, or a neutral color, must have sleeves.  Remember, you want the client to remember YOU, not what you were or weren't wearing.  Shoes need to be clean, flats or low heels, in a neutral color.  No sandals, dressy flip-flops, or stilettos.  Closed toe shoes are the most appropriate. Make sure your make-up in conservative, hair clean, no body piercings or tattoos visible. In addition, you need to have a printed resume in your hands!  We will talk about this more in class, but you can start by collecting your work history/experiences including dates, numbers, and addresses.  Think about everything that you have done that sets you apart, clubs or activities you have participated in, honor roll, and volunteering.  You can find templates for resumes online for free.  If you have questions, let me know in class.  This is the first of many important interviews in your lifetime!  Be prepared, be yourself and be ready to shine!  Mrs. McCully
